I really like RC quadcopters now, thanks to Team Black Sheep on YouTube. I must say (Team Black Sheep), your videos are absolutely amazing. You have inspired me to start in FPV as well (although I read on Readymaderc.com that you have to have a license of some kind and you have to make sure that it is legal in your country/state. Is this true? Please help.

What do you guys think would be a nice beginner quadcopter (one for FPV) and used a standard transmitter/receiver. Any suggestions?

I am almost complete with my second scratch build (technically 1 1/2, because neither are complete) but this one is a RC wing. I took a risk and used no plans. I tried to make my own design. I was able to install the servos for the elevons. Installed receiver, ESC, and motor as well. I also made my own custom motor mount that seems to be built really well (constructed out of balsa). Hopefully it will fly.

I built my first scratch build RC plane ever. Almost ready for maiden flight. I am hoping for the best. Thanks for all of your support.
Any of you RC Heli enthusiasts? Great! Post about your favorite helicopter. Try to say why you like it.
I know most of you RC Aircraft enthusiasts out there know how it feels when you crash an aircraft. In my case, I lost sight of mine. On this day, March 1 2014, I crashed/lost sight of my E-Flite Apprentice S. I flew behind some tall redwood trees as I was trying to land it and then I lost sight of the aircraft. I gained altitude and never saw the plane, nor did I here it hit the ground (or anything for that matter). I had lost it. They only thing I have left to remember it know is the Spektrum Dx5e transmitter included with the model. Also, I lost the plane in a nature preserve and I was able to get a ranger to try to help me look for it. Sadly, we did not have any luck. He said it may turn up in a couple years, and I agreed with him. I would like to thank that ranger for his help, knowing he was not required to help me, so thank you (park ranger). I will definitely keep flying as an RC pilot, because RC flying is awesome.
